SOPHIE LUFKIN

Who is Sophie?

I started very young to study the body through classical and contemporary dance. I then discovered yoga at the age of 23: an extremely powerful holistic technique that helps me find peace of mind and body. My passion drives me to travel the world - including France, Mexico, the United States, Canada, India and Indonesia - to study with renowned teachers like Shiva Rea, Simon Park, Meghan Currie, Dharma Mittra and Sri Andrei Ram. I am certified in Ashtanga, Prana Vinyasa (Yoga Alliance, RYS) and AcroYoga (Montreal, Canada).

My practice is dynamic, fluid, creative and intuitive, cultivating both softness and intensity. Through my teaching, I pass on my passion for yoga: a play between power and flexibility that helps us explore our limits, our resistance, our balance and our sense of humor. The postures are linked in a fluid and dynamic sequence, sometimes in music, the stress is put on the union between movement and breathing and on the pleasure of the sensation. I share with my students all that I get from my yoga practice and strive to guide them to the best version of themselves!

Meet Sophie during the festival:

Creative Vinyasa Flow - Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th of July

Vinyasa Yoga is a creative approach to yoga asana, incorporating powerful and intuitive movements. Postures are linked together in a dynamic and fluid flow, usually accompanied by music. Emphasis is given to union between breath and movement and pleasure of the sensation. This playful yoga style is suitable for all levels except complete beginners!
